MY LOVELY NEIGHBOURS
New House... New Neighbours.
Hey, all I am a little late this time... I was busy here and frankly speaking a bit lazier these days to blog. also... I want to share a lot of things with my friends on this platform and it is now a confusion on what to share here, as there are many experiences.
This time I will talk about my recently shifted villa.., an Apartment painted in light green like a colourful popsicle... which brought lovely neighbours and many flashy memories to take it to the future.

Late last year we set about attempting to buy our first home, which we knew was going to be a daunting task - especially a calm place with free parking facility. it is very difficult to get a rented house in this busy city-Abu Dhabi, as almost every extra space would be expensive here... Luckily we were in the right place at the right time. we found a place that fitted all our hopes and dreams, located on a quiet little side street with not much thoroughfare. Having come from a flatting situation, the moving process was pretty smooth with only a few loads without even the need of a Hilux. Because the new house existed the very next door to the old house.
We moved into our new house. After settling in, we were ready to get out and meet our new neighbours. I saw kids playing together and my baby enjoying the view of many people and their tiny toddlers... Soon he too started to mingle with them as we don't get to see this kind of atmosphere in the house yard or in any apartment where we stayed before.
I felt more at ease having immediately met such wonderful people and was excited to continue our tour to meet a few more... so finally, I figured out most of all the neighbors are from my own home country India with some very near to my locality and a few from Pakistan, Philippines, and Sri Lanka.

We made an effort to mingle with everyone we met, with names and a few small details so we can build on the initial connections we made with them. now as I lie down and reflect on our very first day, I thought about our initial approach to knock on everyone's door. I felt that each door was opened, there was a moment of hesitation from everyone, that "who are you" feeling when someone comes to your door early in the morning or even any time. They had all seen the closed empty room and people coming and going over the past weeks, and quietly wondered "who is moving to this now?".
So once we mentioned we had just moved into the room K-01, the environment changed. Everyone was excited for us and eager to welcome us into their homes to have a chat about where we had come from and to introduce us to all their family members. We left each house with a buzz of excitement for the future of building each relationship we had just made. we also felt a sense of reassurance that can only come from understanding that you have an extra layer of security that all the neighbors will keep an eye on us in the future months.
We started getting closer day by day that we even exchange our special foods and we have a gettogether plan whenever we are free around and notice that everyone are available. All the families here started inviting us for any events and we would share the most evening with all the kids playing around. It was an experience of having a peaceful breathing every single day, as we all made a family here. This place is no more a foreign country for me and my family now as all are mingled so well to each other and celebrate every event together.

I am happy and proud that I have made a lovely neighborhood in this foreign country with every family in this apartment, so well that we just poke around for the one who is apart for a while or a day sometimes. In fact, we now have a big benefit of a large family of kids who have developed a good communicable and playable environment.
